What a beautiful Name it is
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ my King
What a beautiful Name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful Name it is
The Name of Jesus

Church Family,

I’ve been singing this song that we sung in WOW service Wednesday over and over today. How true it is! The name of Jesus is beautiful, wonderful, powerful, and so much more!

Speaking of WOW Services – we will have ONE more, this coming Wednesday. The theme of it will be a time of testimony, giving opportunities for everyone to share a victory, a trial, or something you need help through. We’ll start with dinner at 5:45 and finish with a dessert fellowship after the service. You won’t want to miss it.

This Sunday, our T.A.G. ladies are hosting a Back to School Brunch at 8:45 in the gym foyer. Come a little early for Sunday School, enjoy some goodies and some good fellowship.

Our Back to School Bash will be Wednesday, August 30th – the first Wednesday of the new school year. We’ll have hot dogs, sign-up stations for RA’s, GA’s and Mission Friends, and some good fellowship. This will be for youth, adults and children. If any of you have games like corn hole or washers that you’d let us use that night, those would be welcomed. It will be from 6:30-7:30 pm.

Calling all MEN! We’ll have a Burger Fellowship on Saturday, August 26th at 6pm. Just come, bring someone with you, and enjoy some good fellowship. We’ll have a special speaker sharing a challenging message for us as well. All men and boys welcome.

On Sunday evening, August 27th, the night before school begins, we will have a prayer gathering around the flagpole at Winona High School at 6:30 pm. This is for anyone who wants to pray for our students, teachers, staff and administration.

We have many in need of prayer at this time: Ronnie Field lost his Mother earlier this week and the funeral is Tuesday morning in Amarillo. David Hiett continues to recover from triple bypass/aortic valve replacement yesterday but all things are going well so far. Shawn Rogers is home after suffering a stroke. Larry Howell is home after recovering from appendectomy on Thursday. Mrs. Jean Hale, one of our former members, passed away Wednesday evening. She is Kim Campbell’s grandmother. We still need to lift up Danny Thompson and family following the passing of his father, Fletcher. The Minister of Students Search Team is getting close on a candidate to present to the church. Church, it’s time to pray.

Be blessed,

Bro. Tony
